Membership/Donations

To be a voting member in MOCERTA, individuals must have completed CERT basic training, be affiliated with a CERT program recognized by the State of Missouri Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and have paid dues for the current calendar year.

 Membership provides:

  • CERT program support statewide, including training and education in disaster planning/emergency preparedness for citizens and established CERT teams.
  • A mentoring and resource asset for local CERT teams and programs.
  • Discounts for MOCERTA regional and statewide coordinated events where CERT teams learn from subject matter experts on a variety of topics designed to enhance individual and team performance and where team members can drill and network with like-motivated CERT graduates from all around the state of Missouri.
  • Collaboration as a whole community approach to achieve common goals in developing leadership in the areas of disasters.
  • Communication exchange and dissemination of information among CERT organizations and the public, as well as local, state, and federal authorities.
  • Coordination and dissemination of relevant information and training resources including a MOCERTA newsletter.
  • Outreach to communities and leaders to encourage the formation of, and provide guidance in, establishing CERT programs.

 Individual Members will receive: 

  • Annual membership ID
  • Discounts to participating businesses with MOCERTA ID (in progress)
  • Challenge Coin (first 500 members)
  • Access to purchase MOCERTA advertising apparel (in progress)
  • The knowledge that you are helping CERT teams across the state help their communities.
