Launching the New Site!

Greetings, all!

Sam Henley here!

I bet you’re wondering what this site is all about and you’re probably wondering about the organization and its vision and goals. Let me serve as your host on this introductory tour of our site and the heart and effort behind it!

At its inception, the Missouri CERT Association (or MOCERTA) was meant to serve as a place where the Leaders BEHIND Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) could gather information and coordinate the efforts to drive this volunteer program forward for our state. This information will include things like Standard Operating Guideline templates, training class schedule templates, CERT pack list templates, and MORE! We hope to really draw together and share resources so we don’t have to keep “reinventing the wheel” in our efforts!

Let’s take a look at our fledgling website:

Our photoblog, reviews, CERT tips, gear suggestions, and more.

Under this tab, you will find documents related to planning and training for your CERT.

Under this tab, you will find documents to help you prepare for pre-planned events.

Under this tab, you will find information on activations.

Under this tab, you will find resources including Standard Operating Guidelines, schedules you can follow for planning training classes, agenda templates, and more!

On this page, you will find a running list of our partners with links to their websites and/or Facebook pages.

Under this tab, you will find information about MOCERTA, our board, and our members!

We are planning to expand our site with tons of content, more pages, links, and helpful tips as we go along. This is going to be a journey of epic proportions and we’re so glad to have you join us!

Be sure to submit photos, documents, lists, lessons learned, and more to me via my email ke0lmy@yahoo.com so we can list them here on the site to help other CERT Leaders in their quests to make their CERTs the best they can be!

Talk to you soon!
